Florence Pugh Commands a Rogue Squad of Marvel Misfits in Explosive First ‘Thunderbolts’ Trailer!

The initial trailer for Disney’s Thunderbolts begins with Florence Pugh portraying Yelena Belova, a despondent assassin, as she reconnects with her disheveled father, Alexei (David Harbour).

She expresses her feelings of emptiness despite being occupied with perilous hit jobs. However, Yelena quickly finds purpose again as the action-filled teaser shows her encountering a group of Marvel’s most dubious characters.

“Everyone here has done bad things… So, someone wants us gone,” Yelena tells her fellow antiheroes, including John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), as they face the threat of elimination after carrying out previous assignments for an unknown villain.

“This could get messy,” Yelena cautions her fellow misfits in the teaser for the action film, which carries the tagline: “Careful Who You Assemble.”

The trailer also features Lewis Pullman’s Bob and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Val, who welcomes the Marvel team of unexpected expendables.

Thunderbolts experienced delays due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes last year, with the new release date now set for May 2, 2025. Following the labor actions in Los Angeles, Geraldine Viswanathan replaced Ayo Edebiri, and Top Gun: Maverick actor Pullman took over for Steven Yeun in the superhero film due to scheduling issues.

The Marvel team-up movie also stars Sebastian Stan and David Harbour, directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson are serving as executive producers.
