The global sensation will star alongside Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler in Sony Pictures' crime thriller, adapted from Charlie Huston’s novel of the same name. Details about Bad Bunny’s role in the film remain under wraps.

The storyline centers on Hank Thompson (played by Butler), a washed-up ex-baseball player who finds himself unintentionally caught in a deadly struggle for survival within the gritty criminal underworld of 1990s New York City.

Earlier this summer, Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny concluded his Most Wanted Tour in support of his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.

Bad Bunny’s acting debut was in Narcos: Mexico, where he played Arturo “Kitty” Páez across four episodes. He then appeared alongside Brad Pitt in Sony’s Bullet Train as an assassin named Wolf. His most recent role was in Cassandro, where he portrayed Felipe opposite Gael García Bernal’s titular wrestler.

Additionally, Bad Bunny is a producer on Netflix’s adaptation of Adam Silvera’s novel They Both Die at the End.

Darren Aronofsky, who is producing Caught Stealing with his Protozoa Pictures partner Ari Handel, is also working on an Elon Musk biopic at A24. Aronofsky previously collaborated with A24 on his Oscar-winning film The Whale, starring Brendan Fraser.

Aronofsky and Handel have teamed up on several notable projects, including Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, Noah, mother!, The Good Nurse, Pablo Larraín’s Jackie, and Lance Oppenheim’s Some Kind of Heaven.
