The movie, which is scheduled to be released on July 2,2025, was dubbed Jurassic World Rebirth by the studio Thursday. Starring opposite Badgalriri for the movie will be Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali with Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise in her first leading role alongside David Iacono,Audrina Miranda,Philippine Velge and Bechir Sylvain. (The film also stars Ed Skrein.)

Set a few years after five events of Jurassic World Dominion from filmmaker Colin Trevorrow, the previous movie in June 2022 alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard with returning cast members Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill. The film franchise began in 1993 with Steven Spielberg‘s smash Jurassic Park, which was based off the 1990 science fiction novel of same name by Michael Crichton.

The new film will boast only a handful of dinosaurs that remain in an ecosystem for genetically modified dinos, and among them are three creatures which could hold the cure to some civilization saving drug. Archaeologist Zora Bennett (Johansson) is sent to protect the DNA of prehistoric creatures by extracting them from their position, only for her and a civilian family on an island that contains a secret hidden from mankind since civilization started.

Jurassic World Rebirth, which Steven Spielberg will produce with Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall as producers (alongside Pat Crowley), is being directed by Edwards (Rogue One) from a script written by David Koepp — the man who adapted Jurassic Park from Michael Crichton's 1990 novel. The upcoming movie is based on Crichton characters.

Jurassic World Rebirth is producing with long-running Jurassic franchise producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. Spielberg is an executive producer along with Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer.

Coming off the release of Dominion, this new film will arrive in theaters almost 3 years after where the original Jurassic World trilogy was left. All three of those movies have made over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, starting with Jurassic World in 2015.
