After teasing Twilight of the Gods earlier this year, Netflix has now unveiled a more detailed look at Zack Snyder's animated series.

The platform has dropped a full trailer for the show, which draws from Norse mythology and introduces a vengeful Thor, who is far from Marvel's version, alongside the ever-scheming Loki. The storyline follows Sigrid (voiced by Sylvia Hoeks), a fierce warrior who rescues King Leif (Stuart Martin) during a battle.

After their marriage, the pair "endure a wrath of terror from Thor (Pilou Asbæk), leading them and a group of crusaders on a relentless, against-all-odds quest for vengeance," according to the show's description. You can watch the trailer below.

At a Netflix event in June, Snyder’s producing partner and wife, Deborah Snyder, shared with Reporter that Netflix gave them full creative control while developing Twilight of the Gods: "We presented an outline; they had a few notes but essentially gave us free rein.

There were no constraints, no limits." She added that animation as a medium fosters creative freedom, saying, "In animation, you can accomplish things that would be too costly in live action. You can stylize everything in any imaginable way, opening endless possibilities for creativity."

The voice cast of Twilight of the Gods features Rahul Kohli, Paterson Joseph, Jamie Clayton, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Kristofer Hivju, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, John Noble, and Peter Stormare.

Stone Quarry Animation is behind the series, co-created by Zack Snyder, Jay Oliva, and Eric Carrasco. Zack and Deborah Snyder serve as executive producers alongside Wesley Coller and Oliva. Xilam Animation handled the production.

Zack Snyder directed the first and final episodes, with additional direction by Oliva, Carrasco, Andrew Tamandl, Tim Divar, and Dave Hartman.
